London
Our home for the next [unsure] time

Arriving in London was extremely daunting and scary. IT’S HUGE! Not only that its soo massive but it was a huge reality check. After travelling, spending and having a ball for the past few weeks it was down to finding a house, finding a job and watching the pennies [damn the NZ Dollar]. To begin with we were dossing [sleeping on a couch – very ‘normal’ here, apparently every house always has dossers] and we couldn’t really comprehend that we had left jobs, cars, phones, comfy beds and everything at home – but it got better quickly.
Have been in London nearly a week and everything seems to be going smoothly now. The job interviews are coming in [can’t wait to earn the pound], we have seen how easy it is to get around London, we have seen how much there is to do here and we have seen how cheap it is to get to Europe from here. And travelling on the POUND is going to be AWESOME. Everything is good.
The London summer is nothing like home – in fact, it’s not really a summer [except sometimes it does get REALLY hot]. You wouldn’t go walking around in mini shorts, and you wouldn’t go outside with a cardie or jersey on your bag – it can turn cold REALLY quickly. London summer is all about BBQ’s and drinkies in the park.... wohooooo is legal to drink in the parks.
We went out for our first Saturday to the London Comedy Club. VERY FUNNY! I love British humour. We are going to Kora this Friday and both super excited, followed by early morning Bledislode Club match which we are going to watch at a Kiwi/Aussie bar... No sleep for these kids.
Keep in touch people and save all your pennies to come play on this side of the world! It’s fun times. We miss you all greatly so keep in touch...
